Why I Created Discernment

Care should meet people where they are.

After years of working in a surgical hospital environment, I saw firsthand how difficult routine bloodwork could become after surgery. Pain, limited mobility, transportation challenges and the exhaustion of recovery can make another trip to a laboratory feel like a major burden.

I also saw how those challenges affect older adults and people who rely on family members or caregivers for transportation. Those experiences inspired Discernment Mobile Phlebotomy.
